About the Role
Help at-risk adolescents BUILD BETTER FUTURES. Abraxas Academy provides detention and treatment services for court committed youth.
Responsibilities
- Supervise clients during sleeping hours to ensure their safety and security.
- Complete and document regular room checks throughout your shift.
- Aid in the management of the morning wake-up routine by educating, guiding, and directing clients.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- One (1) year applicable experience or Associate’s Degree preferred
- At least twenty-one (21) years of age
- Criminal clearances (Act 33 and 34, specific State & child clearances and, if necessary, FBI)
- Physical exam, drug test, TB test
- Valid Driver's License
Qualifications

- Must pass both federal and state background checks which screen for crimes including, but not limited to drug related crimes, violent crimes, sexual abuse, domestic violence, child abuse, and repeated misdemeanors
- Valid Driver's License
Skills
- Ability to work overnight shifts
- Strong communication and supervision skills
- Knowledge of youth development and behavior management
