Youth Apprentice Field
Applicants Must Meet
- Eligible or currently enrolled in an approved school-to-work program
- At least a Junior or Senior in high school
- Previous experience in construction is preferred, not required
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Occasionally required to position objects and operate tools or controls
- Sometimes required to use a computer keyboard
- Regularly required to remain in a stationary position and move to access people or machinery or workspaces
- Occasionally required to ascend and/or descend a ladder or stairs to reach work areas
- Regularly required to move up to 20 pounds and occasionally move up to 50 pounds
- Frequently required to travel (as vehicle driver and as passenger on various modes of transportation) and frequently perform work on-site at construction work sites
Specific Abilities Required
- Close vision
- Peripheral vision
- Depth perception
- The ability to adjust focus
- The ability to communicate effectively while on the job site and throughout the completion of duties
Working Environment
- Prolonged loud noises
- Exposure to scents and fragrances
- May be requested to work overtime and weekends
Pay Range
The anticipated salary range for this position is $14 - $16 per hour. This range represents what Bildt reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered will be dependent upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to: candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, alignment with market data and internal equity as well as other business and organizational needs.
