About the role
The Youth Advocate Supervisor oversees a team of Youth Advocates who provide direct support, mentorship, and advocacy for young people facing social, emotional, educational, or behavioral challenges. This role ensures high-quality service delivery, staff development, and compliance with program standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, and support a team of Youth Advocates through regular check-ins
- Provide crisis support and guidance to staff when complex youth situations arise
- Mentor, engage, and ensure the safety of youth in the program
- Hold oneself accountable to uphold trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and youth-centered approaches in all aspects of the program
Requirements
- The desire to work with youth
- Valid MA driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Experience working with youth (12-18) in a residential/group care setting
Qualifications/Credentials
- Education or degree in Psychology, Social Work, Child Development, or Teaching
