Job Duties

  • Supervise Youth Development Staff directly.
  • Monitor reports, forms, and admission packets to ensure accuracy and policy compliance.
  • Cook with Team Lead for timely completion of contractual requirements like drills and inspections.
  • Manage safety procedures for the facility.
  • Ensure compliance with the Youth Development System (YDS) among staff.
  • Foster a safe and welcoming environment for youth, families, and colleagues, ensuring emotional and physical security without re-traumatization.
  • Follow a trauma-informed approach, demonstrating sensitivity to individuals' needs and experiences.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness through daily checks and staff/youth encouragement.
  • Assist Program Director with Quality Improvement (QI) and COA standards compliance.
  • Support fundraising efforts as assigned.
  • Cook with staff scheduling to meet licensing and budget requirements.
  • Coordinate staff scheduling to meet licensing and budget requirements.
  • Participate in community/regional committees or teams.
  • Aid Program Director with employee supervision, recruitment, training, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Health (DOH) food program and budget.
  • Identify and organize training needs for Youth Development Staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in social work or human services and 2+ years of experience working with children, or
  • Associate's degree 2 years of college and 3 years of experience working with children.

Qualifications

  • Ability to practice self-care and seek support as needed to prevent burnout while providing trauma-informed care.
