Job Duties
- Supervise Youth Development Staff directly.
- Monitor reports, forms, and admission packets to ensure accuracy and policy compliance.
- Cook with Team Lead for timely completion of contractual requirements like drills and inspections.
- Manage safety procedures for the facility.
- Ensure compliance with the Youth Development System (YDS) among staff.
- Foster a safe and welcoming environment for youth, families, and colleagues, ensuring emotional and physical security without re-traumatization.
- Follow a trauma-informed approach, demonstrating sensitivity to individuals' needs and experiences.
- Maintain facility cleanliness through daily checks and staff/youth encouragement.
- Assist Program Director with Quality Improvement (QI) and COA standards compliance.
- Support fundraising efforts as assigned.
- Cook with staff scheduling to meet licensing and budget requirements.
- Coordinate staff scheduling to meet licensing and budget requirements.
- Participate in community/regional committees or teams.
- Aid Program Director with employee supervision, recruitment, training, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure compliance with Department of Health (DOH) food program and budget.
- Identify and organize training needs for Youth Development Staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in social work or human services and 2+ years of experience working with children, or
- Associate's degree 2 years of college and 3 years of experience working with children.
Qualifications
- Ability to practice self-care and seek support as needed to prevent burnout while providing trauma-informed care.
