Yardperson - 6AM

Job Summary

High Concrete is seeking a Yard person/Material Handler to join our 1st Shift team starting at 6:00 AM. This position is based in Denver, PA.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing duties to ensure the proper and safe handling of products from the production areas to yard storage.
• Ensure a smooth and safe flow of products from the storage areas onto trailers for shipments to job sites.
• Hook up products for loading and unloading.
• Set blocks, evaluate pieces with wood blocks.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Use hand signals to escort equipment operators for setting, lifting or maneuvering production pieces during loading/unloading process.
• Operate electronic handheld scanners for verification of production pieces during storage process.
• Gather shims, steel blocks, homosote, rack pins, and wood blocking used for the day's production at the start of the shift.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Certified equipment operator a plus; travel lift and/or tow motor a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• General knowledge of materials handling and safety procedures.
