Yard Foreman
Job Summary
This position is responsible for the dispatch function, coordinating with the sales department, shipping, receiving, customer, delivery truck services and the logistics operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Aid in ensuring all vehicles and drivers are safe and compliant with all legal and regulatory agencies
- Receive and verify incoming materials for the facility
- Maintain the yard in an orderly fashion
- Schedule workload
- Work closely with the production team to determine items ready for delivery
- Cook up daily delivery schedules based on sales requests for product and product availability
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in the field or a related area, preferred
- Operating experience via forklift
- Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work under limited supervision
- Occasional overtime may be required
- Lifting may be required with assistance provided if needed
Compensation
- Payscale range from $26-$28/hour
- Paid Time Off: 120 hours per calendar year (pro-rated in first year)
