Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate the shipping of new, used, rental, demo, and serviced customer equipment.
- Initiate and complete INSPCT templates for loss mitigation of both Fabick and customers' equipment.
- Receive new equipment and associated attachments according to defined business processes.
- Assign, print, and attach barcodes to equipment and attachments.
- Generate and send receivers for new and used machines to Sales Dept according to defined business processes.
- Assist in preparing and presenting equipment to showcase to customers.
- Conduct investigations to verify and resolve shipping and receiving errors.
- Comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, and government regulations.
- Examine contents and compare with records to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments.
- Take pictures of the equipment and ensure all machines meet Fabick quality standards before leaving the yard.
- Check equipment for serial numbers, correct hour meter readings, attachments, and any damage on returned equipment.
- Notify appropriate department heads in case of damage and send all supporting documentation immediately.
- Conduct monthly physical inventory audits for the location to which you are employed.
- Maintain an organized yard, keeping it free from excessive debris and trash.
- Submit inventory reports and communicate disparities to Department heads.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or GED.
- Technical, vocational, or trade school education desired.
- 3 or more years of experience in operating heavy machinery, shipping, receiving, and general yard duties required.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to move equipment around the yard required.
- Able to manage time and multi-task with little to no supervision required.
- Must have heavy equipment experience.
- Exhibit a high level of urgency and ownership.
Physical Requirements
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Long periods of standing, periodic exposure to seasonal heat and cold, working with oils and greases, noise, shift work as needed - 1st and 2nd, working outside, stooping, bending, squatting, or working in a prone position.
