XTR-2 System Requirements & Engineering Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL)

This onsite role in Woburn, MA requires an active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance (DoD) on day one, with U.S. citizenship mandatory.

About the Role

As the System Requirements & Engineering Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) for the XTR-2 program, you will lead a multi-discipline engineering team, providing technical oversight for system architecture, CONOPS, design reviews, and customer deliverables. Responsibilities include cost, schedule, and technical performance for the IPT scope, collaborating with program leadership, chief engineers, subject matter experts, and the customer during Phase 1 of this multi-million-dollar contract.

Responsibilities

• Own all system engineering scope for XTR-2, including development, maintenance, and control of system-level requirements and flow-down to subsystem tech leads (GaN TRIMM, DREX, APCU, Pedestal Servo/Controller).
• Lead system architecture, concept refinement, and configuration management, including software architecture and life-cycle engineering activities.
• Ensure allocation of performance, functional, and interface requirements across four CDR-level subsystems.
• Manage system-level ICDs, requirement changes, and traceability (e.g., DOORS).
• Own system integration planning, verification, and validation strategy.
• Lead system-level design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR inputs) and ensure subsystem artifact readiness.
• Support risk identification and mitigation for system-level design and performance.
• Ensure compliance of system engineering artifacts with XTR-2 program standards and customer expectations.
• Coordinate with corresponding IPTs to align system-level requirements, interfaces, and SE deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience (or as permitted by local laws/regulations).
• Experience managing project/program cost, schedule, and risk, or with Earned Value Management, Risk & Opportunity, Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), or Integrated Master Plan (IMP) tools.
• Experience with proposal or capture efforts, technical/financial data, and reporting.
• Experience presenting program and technical issues to senior stakeholders.
• Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance (DoD) required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory for security clearance eligibility.

• Background in radar development programs.
• Earned Value Management System Certification or PMX Level 6 Certification.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $132,400 – $251,600 USD, determined by experience, role responsibilities, location, and other factors. Hired applicants may be eligible for relocation assistance.

Schedule

This is an onsite role. Commuting to and from the assigned site (Woburn, MA) is the employee’s responsibility.
