WMN (Wolverine Media Network) is the student-led umbrella for the Campus Video Network, the Lyceum Fine Arts Journal, the Michigan Journal, and WUMD College Radio. We create collaborative, human-centered multimedia spaces where students learn and produce together.
About the role
WUMD DJs produce and perform musical content for live campus events booked by student organizations and university units. This is a part-time, on-campus position open only to UM-Dearborn students enrolled at least half-time. Availability on nights and weekends is required; hours fluctuate with demand, peaking in early-to-mid Fall and Winter semesters.
Responsibilities
- Create audio content tailored to client requests and event atmosphere
- Perform live at contracted events, demonstrating professional showmanship
- Set up and break down equipment for each event
- Meet with clients to prepare for upcoming events
- Represent WUMD College Radio and the Wolverine Media Network positively at all times
- Promote WUMD and WMN services and initiatives during events
Requirements
- Enrolled at least part-time as a UM-Dearborn student
- Able to work in both sitting and standing positions
- Able to lift equipment up to 40 lbs
- Flexible schedule with availability on nights and weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Preference given to candidates who will remain enrolled through the Winter 2027 semester
- Federal Work-Study eligibility
