About the role

Suffolk is seeking a skilled individual to join our dynamic team. This person will play a crucial role in planning and executing construction projects using advanced scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

  • Aid Project Managers and Superintendents in creating and refining construction schedules.
  • Work with Project Executives to develop proposal and pre-construction schedules.
  • Analyze historical production data to determine activity durations and monitor project progress.
  • Update and analyze detailed construction schedules, reporting status weekly at each project site.
  • Resolve discrepancies between actual and planned progress, facilitating an action plan with the project team.
  • Create visual schedules and linear schedules as needed to view production sequences.
  • Analyze repetitive workflows to ensure realistic cycle times and prepare monthly schedule narratives.
  • Provide monthly metrics and Key Performance Indicators for executive reports.
  • Ensure adherence to Suffolk’s Standards of Practice and maintain high standards of work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in preparing CPM schedules for vertical construction projects.
  • Proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6 scheduling software.
  • Ability to manage multiple project schedules in the region.
  • Willingness to travel to regional project sites to assist project teams on a weekly basis.
  • Desire to obtain an AACE PSP certified certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Excellent computer skills and willingness to learn new software applications.
  • Strong ability to analyze and synthesize information and make recommendations.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with various stakeholders.
  • A positive customer service orientation and strong interpersonal skills.
