Description

The WTG Mech/Tech performs daily complex assembly, service, repair, and operations of wind turbine generators and related equipment under minimum supervision. Essential functions include troubleshooting, repairing, or retrofitting complex electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components; performing WTG assembly, repair, and maintenance; completing and maintaining required company documentation and records; cleaning and organizing tools, equipment, and work area; traveling to various job sites; meeting customer and company standards; complying with corporate, OSHA, and GETSG policies and procedures; writing and completing service reporting, work order documents, and records; maintaining required training certifications; assessing skills needed for specific tasks; and working within project schedules.

Requirements

  • GE 1.5 experience is preferred.

Desired Skills And Knowledge

  • Requires 36 months’ wind turbine specific technical and mechanical experience.
  • Requires valid driver’s license and a motor vehicle report that meets company standards.
  • Legal ability to work in the United States.
  • Required: 36 months in wind turbine specific mechanical and electrical experience.
  • Required: Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and maintain a drug-free status.
