Wrestling Assistant Coach - Varsity

About the role

The Wrestling Assistant Coach will support the varsity wrestling program at Kempsville High School. The position is part-time and reports to the Principal/School Administrative Committee.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the training and development of wrestlers
• Work with the head coach to develop and implement practice plans
• Attend and officiate matches as needed
• Communicate regularly with parents and students regarding team progress and expectations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field
• Experience coaching wrestling at the high school level
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Qualifications

• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
• Pass a background check

Skills

• Knowledge of wrestling rules and regulations
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities
