About the role
The Assistant Varsity Wrestling Coach will support the head coach in developing and implementing the wrestling program. Responsibilities include training and mentoring wrestlers, managing team logistics, and maintaining a positive team culture.
Responsibilities
- Train and mentor wrestlers to improve their skills and performance
- Manage team logistics including scheduling practices and competitions
- Maintain a positive team culture and foster a supportive environment
- Collaborate with the head coach to develop and implement training programs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Coaching, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of coaching experience at the high school level
- Experience with youth sports development and team management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Qualifications
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Pass a criminal background check
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
