Worship Director, Syracuse Alliance Church - Syracuse NY

Responsibilities

• Cook up and cultivate a culture of authentic, Spirit-led praise and worship.
• Work closely with the Lead Pastor to ensure consistency in corporate worship times and transitions.
• Oversee, input, and involve in developing the worship ministry across all ages.
• Coordinate with the Lead Pastor and Tech Lead for vision-based planning and design of music ministry.
• Lead weekly rehearsals and services using Planning Center Online.
• Lead a team of vocalists and instrumentalists for the worship portion of each weekly service.
• Ensure all aspects of the service are loaded into ProPresenter.
• Provide a selection of music that aligns with the church’s vision and message.
• Lead a song either solo or with the praise team for the response portion of the service.
• Recruit, equip, and train volunteers to serve on the worship team.
• Assist in administrative roles as needed, including clerical duties and assisting the Lead Pastor.

Requirements

• Agree with our Statement of Faith and become a member of Syracuse Alliance Church.
• Pass a background check.
• Have a personal, genuine, and growing relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
• Have a heart for worship and leading God’s people into His presence through song.
• Have knowledge and understanding of the leading of the Holy Spirit.
• Have knowledge and understanding of the technical aspects of music.
• Be able to sing and lead with piano or guitar.
• Be familiar with soundboard operation.
• Be willing to learn the use of Planning Center and ProPresenter software.
