About the role
As a Workshop Technician, you will assemble/disassemble and test vacuum pumps according to a weekly production plan. You will report to the Team Leader and collaborate with team members on Corrective Action Reports as needed.
- Review HS2 documentation daily.
- Use correct PPE and follow BAM processes and procedures.
- Meet daily production targets for quality, volume, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with zone members and the Zone Leader to establish priorities and meet customer due dates.
- Inspect parts, assemblies, and systems using Work Instructions, drawings, schematics, or other technical data.
- Perform daily checks on calibrated tooling before use.
- Conduct leak tests and assist in troubleshooting leak test failures.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean working area in accordance with 6S standards.
- Provide input and feedback for continuous improvement.
- Complete required paperwork accurately and according to work instructions.
- Raise issues and observations at SIM2 meetings.
- Follow the Kanban system and VTPS rules/standards.
Requirements
- High School education or GED, preferably in a mechanical/technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in manufacturing or a similar environment.
- Ability to work with hand and power tools.
- Good PC literacy; experience with SAP is an advantage.
- Ability to read drawings, schematics, and published specifications.
