Key Responsibilities

  • Proven people leadership - you build and set a high quality bar for your team.
  • Ensure operational excellence of the systems and critical functions your team is responsible for.
  • Partner closely with IT, Real Estate, and other stakeholder teams to align on priorities and roadmaps.
  • Demonstrated vendor management experience. You should be a strong advocate for Shopify, and push them to align with what will help us succeed.
  • Experience in supporting company-sponsored internal and external events of varying size.
  • Manage project deliverables and prioritize tasks across project phases.
  • Standardize the in-office and virtual collaboration experience: define room standards, manage AV/Network lifecycle and monitoring/alerts.
  • Maintain network health using advanced telemetry and create insightful dashboards.
  • Support Shopify-sponsored internal and external events alongside your team.
  • Deploy, test, and maintain AV & network infrastructure both remotely and on-site.
  • Automate workflows using tools like Ansible, NetBox, and Git/GitHub Actions.
  • Tackle network issues with creative problem-solving and offer top-notch user support.
  • Conduct performance analysis and quality control through rigorous testing.
  • Stay at the technological frontier, continuously exploring new workplace technology advancements.

Qualifications

  • Experience with tools like Google Workspace and Google Meet.
  • Strong knowledge of video streaming technologies and signal flows.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, manufacturers, and technologies used in office.
  • Experience designing and operating enterprise-level networks.
  • Mastery of networking protocols and services: IPv4/IPv6, TCP/UDP, OSPF, BGP, and VRFs.
  • Skilled in network automation using Ansible and infrastructure-as-code with Terraform.
  • Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and collaborate across teams.
  • Willingness to travel globally (20% of time).
