About the role

The Collaboration Systems Technician supports and enhances collaboration and audio-visual technology across corporate showrooms and collaboration spaces in major metropolitan areas. This customer-facing role ensures seamless, high-quality technology experiences in showrooms, conference rooms, and executive event spaces for members, customers, and partners. The technician provides primary support for A/V and collaboration systems, assists with end-user devices, basic network connectivity, and other workplace technologies, and partners with internal teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to support meetings, events, technology deployments, and showroom buildouts. This position requires a self-motivated, service-oriented individual who can work independently, manage multiple priorities, and travel (up to 85%) to support showrooms, projects, and events across the US.

Responsibilities

  • Audio-Visual & Collaboration Technology Support
    • Provide primary support for audio-visual and collaboration systems across corporate showrooms, conference rooms, and event spaces.
    • Install, configure, and troubleshoot A/V and collaboration equipment including displays, cameras, conferencing systems, control systems, computers, and presentation technologies.
    • Serve as support contact for conference room A/V technology and coordinate break/fix activities with internal teams and external vendors.
    • Perform hardware and software upgrades, preventative maintenance, and lifecycle refresh activities.
    • Perform physical installation of equipment including mounting displays, running cabling, and staging technology.
    • Monitor hardware portfolio, industry trends, and IT infrastructure changes to ensure reliable service.
    • Participate in procurement of new hardware, deployment of new software, and strategic IT infrastructure conversations.
  • Event & Meeting Support
    • Coordinate and facilitate technology support for internal communication events such as town halls, Member Meetings, executive briefings, and leadership meetings.
    • Ensure successful technology outcomes for external-facing events including dealer events, sales summits, trade shows, supplier summits, and training sessions.
    • Provide on-site or remote support for meetings, presentations, and customer engagements to ensure a high-quality experience.
  • Project Management & Technology Deployments
    • Support project management efforts related to A/V and technology buildouts for new facilities, showroom openings, and renovations.
    • Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of collaboration and A/V technology deployments.
    • Draft scopes of work (SOW), documentation, and technical requirements for vendor engagements.
    • Coordinate with facilities, construction teams, IT, and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Participate in testing, commissioning, and turnover of newly deployed systems.
  • End User & Infrastructure Support
    • Provide hands-on support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and collaboration tools.
    • Troubleshoot basic network and connectivity issues within showroom and meeting environments.
    • Support Microsoft 365 collaboration tools including Teams and conferencing technologies.
    • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain strong relationships with end users and business stakeholders.
  • Vendor & Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers and service providers related to workplace technologies.
    • Coordinate vendor scheduling, service calls, and ongoing support needs.
    • Partner with other IT departments to troubleshoot teleconferencing issues related to networking, cybersecurity, and End-User Support.
    • Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders during technology deployments, facility buildouts, showroom installs, and conference room upgrades.

Travel

Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the time on a regular basis, with occasional business needs requiring travel of up to 85% for limited periods.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree required (Information Technology, Audio-Visual Technology, or related field). Equivalent combined education and experience may be considered.
  • 3+ years supporting conference room, audio-visual, and end-user technology in a corporate environment preferred.
  • Experience with enterprise collaboration and teleconferencing platforms, with Microsoft Teams strongly preferred, including conference room design, configuration, and support ranging from basic setups to complex multi-system environments.
  • Proven hands-on and remote troubleshooting experience across A/V and end-user technologies, including support for live meetings (Teams Town Halls), executive events, and coordination with field technicians and vendors.
  • Experience with core IT tools such as Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, endpoint management, and collaboration platforms, along with supporting technology deployments, refreshes, and buildouts.

Pay

A competitive annual salary range of $80,000 to $90,000, with the actual salary offer based on skills and experience.
