Audio Video Technician
About the role
The Audio Video Technician is responsible for setting up, installing, operating, testing, and troubleshooting audio and video equipment for the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe. This includes but is not limited to projectors, microphones, sound speakers, video screens, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards. The technician provides technical support for events and functions, ensuring optimal operation of all AV equipment. They work closely with clients or event coordinators to fulfill specific audio and video production needs for events such as meetings, conferences, presentations, concerts, or any other types of events. Sites to be supported include all MIT entities.
Responsibilities
- Install and set up AV equipment for Operations and various events and functions.
- Operate AV equipment during events to ensure that audio and visuals are clear and stable.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and any issues encountered.
- Prepare and submit reports on AV operations and inventory as required.
- Work closely with clients, event coordinators, or team members to understand their AV needs and preferences.
- Ensure that setup and operation meet or exceed expectations.
- Manage inventory of AV equipment and supplies.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Provide technical support and training to users on how to operate AV equipment effectively.
- Offer immediate assistance during events if users encounter problems.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues with AV equipment.
- Manage projects and coordinate AV needs for large scale or complex events.
- Live-stream events and meetings as needed.
Requirements
- Graduation from a high school or equivalent with course work in general office practices.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in AV installation and managing complex audio-visual systems.
- Preferred InfoComm CTS Certification.
- At least 2 years of supporting Video Teleconferencing (Cisco, Polycom, Zoom, Teams, etc..).
- At least 2 years of supporting electronic scoreboards (Nevco, Daktronics).
- At least 2 years of supporting Crestron Control System.
- Troubleshoot and Repair System Installation.
