Workover Lead

Essential Responsibilities/Duties

• Lead and oversee daily workover rig operations across assigned areas.
• Supervise and mentor field consultants while establishing clear expectations for safety, reporting, and operational performance.
• Cook up with engineers, foremen, production personnel, and service companies to plan and execute well intervention activities.
• Review and approve daily rig reports, ensuring accurate and complete WellView documentation.
• Maintain a watchful eye on rig performance, downtime, job progress, and operating costs while identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Support and oversee recompletions, acid stimulation, coil tubing, wireline, fishing, swabbing, cleanouts, and other well intervention operations.
• Ensure equipment, materials, contractors, and services are available prior to job execution.
• Verify proper well handoff before and after workover operations and assist with production startup activities.
• Track operational failures, identify lessons learned, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain strong communication with field operations, engineering, contractors, and leadership.

Safety Leadership

• Promote and enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
• Lead Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), pre-job meetings, and post-job reviews.
• Verify contractor compliance with safety requirements and well control procedures.
• Ensure proper PPE, H₂S precautions, pressure control, and LOTO procedures are followed.
• Stop work when unsafe conditions exist.
• Report and investigate incidents, near misses, spills, and unsafe conditions.
• Foster a strong safety culture across all contractors and field personnel.
