About the role

The Workforce Development Representative for Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) provides comprehensive employment and training services to MFIP participants residing in Winona County. This role includes assessing participant needs, developing and updating employment plans, supporting job search and job retention activities, maintaining accurate documentation in Workforce One, and providing Career Lab assistance to general CareerForce customers.

Responsibilities

• Affirmatively assess participant needs and develop and update employment plans.
• Support job search and job retention activities, including providing career guidance and ongoing case management.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Workforce One, including case notes and participant records.
• Provide Career Lab assistance to general CareerForce customers.
• Collaborate with Winona County Health and Human Services, local training providers, CareerForce staff, and other community partners to ensure coordinated support and timely progress toward employment goals.
• Participate in professional development and program initiatives that support MFIP outcomes.

Requirements

• One (1) year of experience providing career guidance, vocational counseling, or job placement services, as well as providing case management to clients.
• Experience in customer service, including the ability to relate to persons on all levels with patience, tact, and understanding.
• Proficiency in software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.), as well as proficiency with data management software.
• Ability to form and grow connections with community partners such as educational institutions, employers, and supportive services to assist career seekers in gaining employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, or other closely related field as determined by the agency.
• Knowledge of Minnesota's workforce programs, including work with public workforce development agencies and related nonprofit organizations.
• Communication and human relations skills sufficient to build rapport with clients and access needs.
• Experience tracking program participants, including case noting and maintaining documentation.
• Skill in communicating in a secondary language.

Pay

$26.12 - $37.91 / hourly; $54,538 - $79,156 / annually.

Schedule

Day Shift, 8:00AM - 4:30PM.
