Workers' Compensation Specialist (Westlake, OH)
About the role
As a Workers' Compensation Specialist for our IME division, you will manage the full lifecycle of Independent Medical Evaluations (IME) for Ohio Workers' Compensation cases. This role provides expert review of IME reports, drafts high-quality IME cover letters and questions, coordinates scheduling and communication of evaluations, and ensures strict adherence to Ohio BWC requirements and medical-legal standards. This position functions as an internal subject-matter expert on IMEs, Ohio workers' compensation processes, and provider coordination, supporting the organization with advanced judgment, autonomy, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of Independent Medical Evaluations (IME) for Ohio Workers' Compensation cases
- Review IME reports and draft high-quality IME cover letters and questions
- Coordinate scheduling and communication of evaluations
- Ensure strict adherence to Ohio BWC requirements and medical-legal standards
- Serve as an internal subject-matter expert on IMEs, Ohio workers' compensation processes, and provider coordination
- Provide top-notch experience for clients and healthcare professionals through extraordinary customer service
- Navigate multiple software solutions such as CRM, ATS, Excel, and Microsoft Teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and professional experience preferred
- Exceptional medical-legal writing and editing skills
- Collaborative mindset and solutions-oriented approach
- Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Geographical proximity to Westlake, OH preferred (in-office position)
- Tech-savvy and data-driven, proficient with CRM, ATS, Excel, and Microsoft Teams
