About the role
The Call Center Care Coordinator - Workers' Compensation Specialist plays a crucial role in coordinating patient care for injured workers, ensuring accurate and complete documentation, and facilitating communication between various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Navigate and use practice management systems to manage patient care efficiently.
- Communicate with providers, adjusters, case managers, and patients to ensure smooth care coordination.
- Administer administrative reviews of medical records and treatment notes to ensure completeness and compliance.
- Secure and process authorizations for continued care of injured workers.
Requirements
- One year of experience working with Workers' Compensation cases.
- Athena experience is preferred.
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of authorization and verification processes, billing authorization, and proficiency in arithmetic calculations.
- Ability to communicate openly and honestly with management and staff.

- Understanding of physician group operations and clinic policies.
- Experience with authorization and verification processes.
