Annual Salary: $156,059 – $186,365 (DOE/DOQ)
About the role
The Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (AC Transit) is seeking a seasoned and collaborative Workers’ Compensation Manager (Classification: Human Resources Manager) to oversee its self-insured workers’ compensation, modified-duty, and occupational injury and disability programs within California’s largest bus-only transit agency. The role offers a meaningful opportunity to bring fresh ideas, build strong partnerships, and use data to guide decisions and improve program performance. Key priorities include reducing claim volume and costs, improving return-to-work outcomes, and creating a more coordinated experience for employees and program partners.
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Workers’ Compensation Manager oversees two direct reports, two indirect reports, and a $3 million budget while partnering across the District and with its third-party administrator and external Alternative Dispute Resolution team.
Responsibilities
