Workers' Compensation Liaison
What You'll Do
- Coordinate the continuum of care for patients admitted under Workers' Compensation insurance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, families, insurers, nurse case managers, employers, and referral partners
- Guide patients from pre-admission through inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient follow-up, ensuring a seamless experience
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, admissions, and care management teams to develop individualized care and discharge plans
- Communicate clinical updates and treatment progress with Workers' Compensation carriers and external stakeholders
- Help prevent delays in care through proactive coordination and problem solving
- Represent Gaylord at industry meetings, conferences, educational events, and networking opportunities to strengthen referral relationships and support program growth
- Identify opportunities to enhance the patient experience and expand Gaylord's Workers' Compensation Program
Qualifications (preferred)
- A Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed healthcare professional
- At least two years of relevant clinical experience
- Experience working with Workers' Compensation cases or case management
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to travel for onsite evaluations, meetings, conferences, and occasional weekend events
- Hospital-based clinical experience
- Experience with Workers' Compensation payer processes, utilization management, or case management
- Experience working with employers, insurance carriers, or nurse case managers
