Workers' Compensation Liaison

What You'll Do

• Coordinate the continuum of care for patients admitted under Workers' Compensation insurance
• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, families, insurers, nurse case managers, employers, and referral partners
• Guide patients from pre-admission through inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient follow-up, ensuring a seamless experience
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, admissions, and care management teams to develop individualized care and discharge plans
• Communicate clinical updates and treatment progress with Workers' Compensation carriers and external stakeholders
• Help prevent delays in care through proactive coordination and problem solving
• Represent Gaylord at industry meetings, conferences, educational events, and networking opportunities to strengthen referral relationships and support program growth
• Identify opportunities to enhance the patient experience and expand Gaylord's Workers' Compensation Program

Qualifications (preferred)

• A Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed healthcare professional
• At least two years of relevant clinical experience
• Experience working with Workers' Compensation cases or case management
• Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to travel for onsite evaluations, meetings, conferences, and occasional weekend events
• Hospital-based clinical experience
• Experience with Workers' Compensation payer processes, utilization management, or case management
• Experience working with employers, insurance carriers, or nurse case managers
