Workers Compensation Claims Supervisor

About the role

We're seeking an experienced and motivated Workers' Compensation Claims Supervisor to lead a team of 8 in Orange, CA. The Supervisor will guide, mentor, and provide performance feedback to a team of 6 Claims Adjusters and 2 Claims Assistants to ensure exceptional claim handling and compliance with company standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing coaching, counseling, and feedback to team members to enhance skills and performance
• Ensure all claims are handled in accordance with relevant statutes and company guidelines
• Address personnel issues promptly and decisively, keeping management informed of corrective action
• Foster a collaborative and productive team environment focused on excellence in claim resolution

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Claims Supervisor or similar role
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in workers' compensation claims handling
• Experience managing a team of claims adjusters and assistants

Skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
