About the role
A growing plaintiff-side personal injury and workers' compensation law firm is seeking experienced Workers' Compensation Attorneys to join its legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys who thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy managing a high-volume caseload, and are passionate about advocating for injured clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage a high-volume workers' compensation caseload from inception through resolution.
- Represent clients in hearings, negotiations, mediations, and other litigation proceedings.
- Utilize modern legal technology, AI tools, and case management software while following established firm procedures.
- Deliver exceptional client service through regular verbal and written case updates.
- Develop case strategies with a client-first approach focused on achieving the best possible outcomes.
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
- Mentor and assist support staff and junior team members as needed.
- Prepare cases for trial and actively participate in litigation when required.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the applicable state.
- Experience handling workers' compensation matters from intake through resolution.
- Strong litigation, negotiation, and case management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage a demanding caseload while maintaining exceptional client service.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Client-focused mindset with a commitment to achieving successful outcomes.
- Comfortable working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to dedicate the time necessary to effectively prepare and litigate cases.
