About the role
The Workday HCM Functional Analyst plays a critical role in defining, delivering, and supporting IT business solutions. This position provides business systems analysis for the development and implementation of business applications. This includes evaluation, analysis, and documentation of requirements, translating them into system requirement specifications and configuration.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the HRIS partner supporting HCM areas in Workday, primarily the Talent Management module, with knowledge of Skills Cloud, Succession Planning, and Performance Management.
- Act as the Functional Expert for other HCM areas in Workday, such as Recruiting, Core Compensation, and Core HCM.
- Serve as a consultative partner to HR Business Partners and HR COEs in service delivery.
- Administer the JIRA platform and lead scrum meetings and development sprints.
- Analyze and translate business requirements and change requests into functional specifications.
- Design and maintain system configurations, including Supervisory Organization, Custom Organizations, and Locations hierarchy.
- Maintain master data values in Workday (e.g., Job Profile, Job Family, Roles, Positions).
- Demonstrate configurations through prototyping and understand Workday’s Implementation Methodology.
- Test, validate, and implement Business Process changes in Workday.
- Manage the AI roadmap related to the HR suite of applications.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 6-9+ years of experience configuring HR cloud platforms, with 2-3+ years working with Workday Functional Configurations (e.g., HCM, Talent Management, Recruiting).
- Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of Workday's Talent and Performance module, Jira, and Agile methodology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday Core HCM/Recruiting experience or certifications.
- Strong knowledge of JIRA.
- Understanding of HR operations and experience in employee data management.
- Experience in project management methodologies.
- Knowledge of current AI technology and HR business use cases.
