About the role

The Christman Company is seeking a Workday Functional Analyst to transform our business operations through the implementation and optimization of the Workday platform. This role involves configuring and enhancing Workday modules such as HCM, Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, and Financials, ensuring they align with business requirements and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and enhance Workday modules based on business requirements
  • Translate stakeholder needs into scalable workflows, configurations, and data structures
  • Support security design, data governance, and system integrity through audits and analysis
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and documentation
  • Advise on integration design, including feasibility, risks, and system impacts
  • Partner with SMEs and business leaders across HR, Finance, Payroll, and IT throughout the full system lifecycle
  • Act as a technical liaison between internal teams and external vendors
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to system functionality
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date system documentation
  • Build and support Workday integrations using Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, APIs, and Web Services
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and provide ongoing system support
  • Translate functional requirements into technical solutions and specifications
  • Support testing efforts (unit and integration)
  • Ensure solutions perform as designed
  • Analyze system updates and recommend improvements to reporting and integrations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software, Engineering, Business Administration or related disciplines
  • (3) to five (5) years’ experience as a Workday Functional Analyst or similar Workday configuration role
  • A strong understanding of human resources, finance, and payroll processes and business requirements
  • Deep technical expertise in Workday integrations and business processes
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Experience in project management and strategic planning

Qualifications

  • Workday certified
  • Familiarity with compliance and best practices in Workday data security
