About the role
The Workday Financials Functional Analyst (Financial & Procurement) supports and maintains Workday systems and processes across Accounting, Finance, and Procurement. Key responsibilities include providing end-user support, assisting with administration, performing configuration and maintenance updates, analyzing release notes, researching and testing issues, creating custom reports, and collaborating with internal and external teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide end-user support and assist with user inquiries and requests
- Administer, including configuration, maintenance, and user support of all modules such as Financial Management (FIN), Financial Planning (PLNF), Projects (PRJT), Expenses (EXP), Procurement (PRO), Accounting Center (ACC), and Strategic Sourcing (SRCEXP)
- Analyze bi-annual release notes and understand their impact on configurations
- Work closely with the HCM support team on uptake and pass-on of information
- Create and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and KPIs within various modules
- Research and analyze to identify and resolve issues and implement new functionality
- Stay informed about the latest Workday releases and research topics
- Evaluate and improve financial processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity
- Collaborate with internal teams (Accounting, Finance, Tax, and Internal Audit) and IT teams to ensure systems align with business requirements and financial processes comply with regulations
- Conduct data audits and implement data quality measures to maintain data integrity
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address audit findings
- Create and maintain training materials and documentation to assist users in maximizing FIN/PAY capabilities
- Train and guide end-users on FIN/PAY functionality, self-service features, and best practices
Requirements
- At least 5+ years of work experience with at least one year of end-user experience in Workday's financial functional area (Core Financials/Financial Accounting, Expenses, Procurement)
- Working knowledge of financial processes, accounting principles, and financial management practices
- Knowledge of Workday Security
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or related field preferred
- Completed one Workday advanced skills course: Advanced Reporting and Analytics, Calculated Fields, Composite Reporting Fundamentals, Customer Accounts & Customer Contracts, Financial Accounting, Inbound EIB Integrations, Supply Chain Management (SCM)
- Workday Pro Financials certification or other relevant financial analysis certifications preferred
- Familiarity with other Workday touchpoints and system integrations
- Experience with system troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Experience with providing user support and training
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
- Prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Desire to learn and grow in a challenging environment
Qualifications
- Must have a BA/BS/BBA degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or related field
- Must have completed one Workday advanced skills course
- Must have Workday Pro Financials certification or other relevant financial analysis certifications
- Must have familiarity with other Workday touchpoints and system integrations
- Must have experience with system troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Must have experience with providing user support and training
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have prior experience working independently and as part of a team
- Must have a strong desire to learn and grow in a challenging environment

Pay
The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $93,370.00/Yr. - USD $153,400.00/Yr. depending on experience and qualifications.
