Work Management Planner
Location: Chicago, Illinois (Hybrid)
About the role
The Work Planner will support the long-range (T+6) scheduling of distribution work in the Chicago region. The primary focus of this position is scheduling and ensuring scheduled hours meet the work plan for New Business and Facility Relocation. The coordinator will also support work request and work order screening, coordination of resources, and recurring conference calls.
Responsibilities
- Perform long-range (T+6) scheduling of distribution work in the Chicago region.
- Schedule and ensure scheduled hours meet the work plan for New Business and Facility Relocation.
- Screen work requests and work orders based on the results of screening reports.
- Take action on or cancel work requests and work orders, as applicable, based on screening report results.
- Host multiple weekly conference calls to coordinate resources.
- Coordinate work management and scheduling activities with Project Managers.
- Work as part of a team to support work management activities.
Requirements
- Work Management skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Experience with scheduling work.
- Experience coordinating with Project Managers.
- Must be able to use Excel efficiently.
- Must have good communication skills, both written/email and verbal.
- 1–5 years of experience.
- Specific experience in Work Management or New Business.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
Schedule
- 40 hours per week
- Monday–Friday
- 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
