About the role
AWS is seeking Logistics Specialists as part of its Work Based Learning Program (WBLP). Trainees will participate in a 12-month work and training program in Ohio facilities between June 2026 and December 2026. Trainees must have work authorization without employer intervention.
Responsibilities
- Vendor and team communication including data entry, coordinating with suppliers, and resolving inquiries from cross-functional teams
- Ensure accuracy and readiness of all billing associated with Inventory supply chain
- Assemble, address, stamp, and arrange for shipment of merchandise and materials
- Daily scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups to and from production locations
- Keep precise records of all commodities entering and exiting the company
- Traveling with a personal vehicle within the regional work area
- Successfully completing the 12-month WBLP training curriculum, including safety certifications, technical competencies, and performance milestones
Requirements
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds
- Work in an environment that operates 24/7 with ability to participate in primary responder rotation and provide after-hours support
- Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day
- Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation
- Tolerate working in non-climate-controlled environments with temperature fluctuations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Willingness to participate in shift rotations to support 24/7 data center operations
Skills
- Microsoft Office products and applications
- Knowledge of computer hardware components, operating systems, and inventory management
