Duties Summary
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the DHA for Domestic DIB Facilities and the MRTFB in the DoD. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. There may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer.
Requirements
- Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
- Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below.
- The Screen-out Element for this position is: The ability to perform the full range of tasks, under limited supervision, as demonstrated by experience including planning, constructing and repairing custom and standardized shipping and storage containers of various shapes and sizes; documenting shipping and storage of materials; packing materials, including HAZMAT, and equipment using appropriate wrapping, padding, and cushioning materials; performing the blocking and bracing of materials; making and placing supports to prevent shifting during transit or storage; securing items for transport; using hand tools and handheld power tools; measure cuts of lumber for nonstandard, skidded, trussed, or sheathed containers; operate a forklift capable of lifting loads weighing less than 25,000 pounds.
