About the Role
IDEC Elevator Products is seeking a motivated Wood Shop Assembler to join our manufacturing team in Riviera Beach, FL. This role is ideal for someone with experience in woodworking, cabinetry, or manufacturing who is eager to build a long-term career in elevator manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Assemble wood components for elevator products according to specifications and drawings.
- Operate woodworking machinery including table saws, routers, CNC routers, and hand and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and assembly instructions.
- Perform accurate measuring, cutting, drilling, fitting, and assembly of materials.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Complete production paperwork and documentation accurately.
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a wood shop, cabinetry, or elevator manufacturing environment.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and assembly experience.
- Experience operating woodworking equipment such as:
- Table saws
- Routers
- CNC routers
- Hand and power tools
- Ability to read measurements and use common shop tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Dependable work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to accept coaching, follow instructions, and maintain a positive attitude.

Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently bend, stoop, reach, and lift materials.
- Use hands for fine motor tasks and operate hand and power tools.
- Lift up to 100 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
- Sufficient vision, hearing, depth perception, and color recognition to safely perform job duties.
Work Environment
- Based in a manufacturing facility with hot and humid conditions during summer months and cooler temperatures during winter months.
- Exposure to dust, noise, machinery, and typical manufacturing conditions.
- Fast-paced, team-oriented production environment.
