Responsibilities
- Builds various sized wood crates while safely using power tools such as nail and staple guns, power drills, grinders, and hammers
- Uses a tape measure to ensure measurements match the cut sheet up to 1/8th inch
- May need to assemble bases or skids for crates on the ground, requiring the use of a 20 pound, 3.5-inch nail gun while crouching and/or kneeling
- Able to read, interpret, find, and document possible cut sheets and/or stenciling errors
- Uses adhesives to apply foam to wood crates and conduct specification checks
- Efficiently performs work according to standard operating procedures
- Follows all procedures, policies, and understands equipment use before use
- Reports equipment defects and/or maintenance needs to your supervisor
- Helps protect yourself and others by reporting any unsafe acts to your supervisor
Requirements
- Highly Desired: 3 months of experience in carpentry, construction and/or landscaping
- Preferred and Helpful: High School diploma or GED
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Forklift experience
Qualifications
We require that you successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
Skills
- Strong teamwork skills
- Ability to read, interpret, and document cut sheets and stenciling errors
- Basic computer skills to use Ops Center to log in & out of jobs with an employee ID number
