Weekly work hours: 19.5. FLSA status: Non-Exempt. All positions are on-site; after six months, some staff roles may qualify for hybrid arrangements per Dallas College policy. Academic (Faculty) positions require an on-campus presence at all times, including when teaching online courses.

About the role

Assists the Head Coach of the assigned athletic program with coaching duties, including scouting, recruiting, player development, workouts, practices, games, study hall, and off-season programs.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with coaching duties such as practices, games, scouting, recruiting, player development, conditioning, and off-season programs.
  • Represents the college with external individuals and organizations to advance the athletics program and community recreational offerings.
  • Maintains the athletic field, including mowing and trimming.
  • Collects and maintains student-athlete data for reports and program information.
  • Completes required Dallas College professional development training hours per academic year.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or higher and two years of experience in a teaching/coaching environment, or a high school diploma and four years of directly related experience in teaching, tutoring, or training.
  • Understanding of NJCAA policies and philosophy.
  • Knowledge of and experience with sports equipment maintenance.
  • Understanding of non-athletic aid programs.
  • Ability to use computer technology for data access, record-keeping, report generation, and communication.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to interact effectively with Dallas College staff at all levels.
  • Experience providing effective customer service.
  • Official transcripts will be required.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Subject to a criminal background check; some positions may require a fingerprint check.

Physical Requirements

  • Normal physical job functions in a standard office environment; reasonable accommodations available for individuals with physical challenges.
  • Work may involve moving and lifting light to moderately heavy materials or equipment, requiring physical strength and agility.

Pay

Hourly rate: $23.78 (Compensation Range N03-Hourly).
