Assistant Women's Basketball Coach

Eastern Illinois University is seeking an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach to assist in the successful management and administration of all phases of the Varsity Intercollegiate Women's Basketball program. This position reports directly to the Head Coach and operates in compliance with Eastern Illinois University, Ohio Valley Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in planning, organizing, and executing team practices, competitions, and overall program operations.
• Contribute to strategic and operational management of the program, supporting team logistics and day-to-day basketball-related activities.
• Assist in the development and oversight of program budgeting and financial operations, including resource allocation and adherence to institutional and NCAA financial policies.
• Support and advance the mission and core values of the Athletics Department.
• Perform other duties and assist with projects as assigned to contribute to the success of EIU.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Two (2) or more years of coaching and/or playing experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the sport of basketball, including the ability to develop post players.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree.
• Proven experience in recruiting and retaining high-quality basketball student-athletes.
• Experience working within a collegiate athletic program.

Pay

Salary range: \$3,500 - \$3,543.75 per month.
