Phillips Theological Seminary seeks a Womanist/Black Feminist scholar in Practical Theology, Theology, or Ethics for a tenure-track or tenure position. Rank will be determined based on experience. Applicants are expected to have a PhD or equivalent. ABD candidates may also apply. The successful candidate will teach four courses a year. The salary range is based on rank and is competitive for faculty among our peer institutions (i.e., free-standing ATS member schools that grant master’s and DMin professional degrees in the US), with Assistant Professor starting at $65,464. We offer a full range of benefits, including health insurance for faculty members (with a nominal employee contribution), a 14% contribution to a retirement fund, and generous funding for research, travel, and sabbaticals.
