Adjunct Faculty – Practical Theory – College of Theology (Fall 2026)

About the role

Grand Canyon University (GCU) seeks passionate adjunct instructors to prepare the next generation of professionals and leaders. As an adjunct, you will provide engaging, high-quality instruction while supporting student success in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate classroom instruction and discussions
• Engage students in achieving course learning outcomes
• Absorb and incorporate current industry knowledge and best practices into teaching
• Support the mission and values of Grand Canyon University
• Provide feedback on student performance
• Supervise 45 practicum/field experience hours

Requirements

• PhD from an accredited college or university with coursework in theology or related field
• At least two years professional experience in ministry or teaching at the postsecondary level

Qualifications

• Passionate about education and ministry
• Ability to teach in a virtual or on-campus setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
