About the role

The Research Associate will contribute to the research group's projects focusing on numerical structural analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with Prof. Alexander Düster on advanced computational methods.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in numerical structural analysis using state-of-the-art computational methods.
• Develop and analyze computational models for structural engineering problems.
• Collaborate with other researchers and engineers to integrate new findings into practical applications.
• Write technical reports and present research findings at conferences and seminars.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong background in numerical methods and computational mechanics.
• Experience with finite element analysis software.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to conduct independent research and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Interest in interdisciplinary collaboration and problem-solving.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Skills
