Wiring Technician-1

GE Vernova is looking for Wiring Technicians who can apply knowledge of electricity by reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical drawings, and machine prints to assemble cabinets.

Responsibilities

• Read electrical schematics/drawings for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
• Cut, strip, bend, and form wire cable, conduit pipe, and tubing used to connect circuits and subassemblies.
• Install components to build the cabinet.
• Perform point-to-point wiring and use crimp connectors to wire ends.
• Discuss errors in diagrams or production orders with supervisor or engineer to clarify assembly problems.
• Perform assembly functions in accordance with Quality Control Procedures to ensure output meets QC and customer standards.

Qualifications / Requirements

• High reliability.
• Flexible and able to work weekends when business needs dictate.
• Some experience in wiring/electrical or motor control wiring.

Skills

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and machine prints.
• Proficiency in AC/DC systems.
• Attention to quality and neatness of work.
• Flexibility to learn and work within several different wiring functions/stations.
