About the role
The role of Windows System Administrator is based in Panama City, FL (Tyndall AFB) and is expected to last approximately 8-10 months. It supports one of our largest DoD/Government clients across the East Coast.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, install, and maintain servers, operating systems (Windows, Linux, or macOS), applications, and hardware.
- Proactively monitor system performance and identify potential issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, escalating complex issues to senior staff when necessary.
- Implement and maintain system security measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
- Perform regular system backups and recovery procedures.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (PowerShell, etc.)
Requirements
- Secret Security Clearance (Eligible)
- Security+CE
- 2+ Years of Server Administration Level Experience
- 5+ Years of Overall IT Experience
- Strong Group Policy (GPOs) Experience
