About the role

We are seeking a Windows Server System Administrator to join our growing Managed Service Provider firm. The ideal candidate should have 3-5+ years of experience deploying and supporting small-to-medium business environments, including servers, networking, virtualization, and the cloud.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and deploy Windows Server 2012-2019
  • Troubleshoot and deploy Windows SQL Server
  • Create Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Show superior troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Have VMware and/or Hyper-V experience
  • Have P2V migration experience
  • Have ticketing and RMM experience (ConnectWise)
  • Implement network software and hardware upgrades (Cisco Meraki, FortiGate)
  • Configure and manage firewalls, switches, W.A.P.s, VPNs, and other network appliances
  • Support end-users in a help desk and on-site environment, resolving hardware/software issues
  • Serve as a member of the Project Delivery teams by providing hands-on technical support for complex projects
  • Serve as an escalation point for Tier III support issues that are escalated by our Tier I and Tier II engineers
  • Configure servers and other critical components in Azure
  • Administer and support Microsoft Intune and AutoPilot

Requirements

The System Engineer candidate must have excellent customer service skills and a desire to increase knowledge of cloud technology, virtualization, and networks for small-to-medium business solutions.

Qualifications

  • Experience deploying and supporting small-to-medium business environments
  • Experience with Windows Server 2012-2019
  • Experience with Windows SQL Server
  • Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy
  • Superior troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V
  • P2V migration experience
  • Ticketing and RMM experience (ConnectWise)
  • Experience implementing network software and hardware upgrades (Cisco Meraki, FortiGate)
