MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Windows Server Administrator to join our team in Quantico, VA.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems (2016, 2019, 2022) while monitoring server performance and optimizing resource utilization.
- Manage Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), including domain controllers, user/group management, DNS, DHCP, and complex Group Policy Object (GPO) creation and deployment.
- Administer virtualized server environments utilizing VMware vSphere/ESXi or Microsoft Hyper-V to ensure scalable and resilient infrastructure.
- Plan and execute automated patching, software updates, and OS deployments using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) and Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).
- Harden Windows servers in strict accordance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and remediate vulnerabilities identified by ACAS/Nessus scans.
- Maintain enterprise backup solutions, ensuring data integrity, and participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) and Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning and testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years in Information Systems Security. A total of 8 years’ experience required without a degree.
- Demonstrated experience navigating the Sponsor's accreditation process and ICD 503 standards, including A&A Body of Evidence (BOE) creation.
- Proven experience meeting security requirements in the Sponsor's environment or similar enterprise environments.
- Experience collaborating across large teams to drive security initiatives and manage complex, integrated system data flows.
- Experience with complex network inventorying and network documentation (compliance, configuration management, patching, centralized authentication).
- Strong capability to create, maintain, and communicate technical, network, and security documentation.
- Active current TS/SCI security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
- Experience with the Sponsor’s primary cyber risk and compliance automation tools.
- Proactive self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working across teams and driving organizational change.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able and willing to perform occasional manual labor and warehouse duties, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
