About the role
Windows Partner Seller 4 (IL) based in Chicago, Illinois (partial remote). This role is central to driving revenue through a portfolio of partners. The Partner Seller serves as the main point of contact for partner sellers, including champ teams, inside representatives, and account executives. The focus is on enabling and supporting partners to protect, grow, and acquire revenue rather than owning end‑customer relationships directly.
Responsibilities
- Protect, grow, and acquire revenue across the partner portfolio, driving year‑over‑year growth via partner‑sourced pipeline.
- Enablement: Land account lists and sales plays on a recurring cadence; supply call guides, competitive positioning, pricing, and objection handling.
- Onboard and certify new partner sellers.
- Deal execution: Support partner‑owned deals end to end — internal approvals, escalations, white‑glove on strategic opportunities — without displacing the partner seller.
- Business Intelligence: Build ranked, high‑propensity target lists for partner sellers to work over the next four weeks; map SMEC/SMB coverage, flag lapsed accounts, refresh cycles, competitive risk, and attach opportunities.
- Lead management: Route Microsoft‑generated Surface opportunities to the right partner seller with context and a next step; own status end‑to‑end with closed‑loop reporting back to the field.
- Orchestration: Quarterback across Microsoft, partner, and distribution; run ECIF/incentive programs.
- Shape strategic initiatives such as Agentic AI sales programs and AI device positioning.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing or equivalent training.
- Experience: 8‑10 years, with a track record of driving revenue through other sellers and experience in channel or partner sales within devices or commercial IT.
Skills
- Proficiency in deal registration, special pricing, incentives, and reseller alliance terms.
- Strong analytics for building account lists and coverage models.
- Channel/partner sales experience in devices or commercial IT.
- Enablement and communication skills across inside sales, field, and partner leadership.
- Digital merchandising or e‑commerce experience (plus).
- Comfort building new programs in ambiguous environments.
Benefits
- Medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and other insurance plans (optional financial protection).
- Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP).
- 401(k) plan with company match after 12 months of tenure (eligible to contribute within 30 days of start).
- Health Savings Account (HSA) on HDHP plan.
- SupportLinc Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
