Wind Technician I or II at Ironwood Wind Farm

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of safety awareness
• Climb heights 300 ft. and greater several times daily
• Diagnose and resolve faults on turbines as they relate to mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems
• Perform troubleshooting to identify the root cause of an issue and perform corrective actions or open a service case with equipment manufacturer
• Perform energy isolation in accordance with all Lock Out / Tag Out Procedures
• Perform pad mounted Transformer switching in accordance with all Hazardous Energy Controls Procedures
• Perform small or large corrective tasks on wind turbines
• Perform preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, performance monitoring and evaluation
• Maintain all aspects (e.g., electrical, mechanical, civil, etc.) of turbines in a safe, high quality, and efficient manner
• Maintain EH&S Documentation and complete necessary paperwork (work order, timesheet, tool and PPE inventory, and additional paperwork as necessary) within Maximo

Qualifications

• Wind Technician - Level I: High School/GED, able to complete Level I job performance measures and training within 1 year
• Wind Technician - Level II: High School/GED, (3+) years of related work experience, must pass required Turbine Technician I and Electrical Operator I JPMs within the probationary period
