Maintain a high level of safety awareness
Climb heights 300 ft. and greater several times daily
Diagnose and resolve faults on turbines as they relate to mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems
Perform troubleshooting to identify the root cause of an issue and perform corrective actions or open a service case with equipment manufacturer
Perform energy isolation in accordance with all Lock Out / Tag Out Procedures
Perform pad mounted Transformer switching in accordance with all Hazardous Energy Controls Procedures
Perform small or large corrective tasks on wind turbines
Perform preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, performance monitoring and evaluation
Maintain all aspects (e.g., electrical, mechanical, civil, etc.) of turbines in a safe, high quality, and efficient manner
Maintain EH&S Documentation and complete necessary paperwork (work order, timesheet, tool and PPE inventory, and additional paperwork as necessary) within Maxim Basic

Wind Technician - Level I: High School/GED, complete Level I job performance measures and training within 1 year
Wind Technician - Level II: High School/GED, (3+) years of related work experience, must pass required Turbine Technician I and Electrical Operator I JPMs within the probationary period

AAS degree or certification in Wind/Renewable Energy or applicable field of study
Experience with GE 1.5 ESS and/or Siemens 2.3 wind turbines
Experience with multiple wind turbine supplier technologies
High voltage and substation maintenance experience
Familiarity with mechanical and electronic testing equipment
Knowledge of heavy equipment for facility maintenance and working knowledge of crane and rigging requirements
Certified in Microsoft Office including Excel/Word/PowerPoint
CPR and AED Training Certification
TSL tower climber and rescue & EEM training
Forklift certified
