About the Role

The Will Call Counter Salesperson introduces products to clients and drives sales growth, focusing on established clients and organizations. Sales personnel are encouraged to develop and sustain customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Meet and communicate with walk-in customers.
• Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors.
• Establish and maintain friendly, ongoing customer relationships.
• Understand customer needs and expectations, providing relevant solutions.
• Manage customer traffic, ensuring each customer receives proper attention.
• Analyze customer choices and financial capacities, suggesting suitable products.
• Offer product alternatives based on customer preferences.
• Demonstrate product usage and resolve customer queries.
• Close sales deals and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Call prospective customers, explain product details, and persuade them to purchase.
• Work toward short-term sales targets and enhance organizational goodwill.
• Document customer suggestions and complaints, reporting them to management.
• Research competitive products and marketing strategies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• 1-2 years of sales experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Business or Marketing.
• Experience in fastener sales.
• Strong organizational, management, and energy levels.
• Proficient computer and math skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication with high confidence.
• Keen attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
