About the role
The Will Call Counter Salesperson introduces products to clients and drives sales growth, focusing on established clients and organizations. Sales personnel are encouraged to develop and sustain customer relationships.
Responsibilities
- Meet and communicate with walk-in customers.
- Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors.
- Establish and maintain friendly, ongoing customer relationships.
- Understand customer needs and expectations, providing relevant solutions.
- Manage customer traffic, ensuring each customer receives proper attention.
- Analyze customer choices and financial capacities, suggesting suitable products.
- Offer product alternatives based on customer preferences.
- Demonstrate product usage and resolve customer queries.
- Close sales deals and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Call prospective customers to explain products and services, convincing them to make purchases.
- Work toward achieving short-term sales targets and improving organizational goodwill.
- Note customer suggestions and complaints, reporting them to management.
- Research competitive products and competitor marketing strategies.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- 1-2 years of sales experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Business or Marketing.
- Fastener sales experience.
- Good organizational and management skills; energetic demeanor.
- Strong computer skills and math aptitude.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with high confidence.
- Keen attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
