About The Role

The Wildlife Service Technician plays a critical role in managing and mitigating human-wildlife conflicts to promote coexistence and protect both public safety and wildlife populations. This position involves conducting fieldwork to monitor wildlife activity, assess habitats, and implement humane control measures in accordance with federal and state regulations. The technician will collaborate with landowners, government agencies, and conservation organizations to develop and execute effective wildlife management plans. Through data collection and reporting, the technician contributes to ongoing research and policy development aimed at sustainable wildlife conservation. Ultimately, this role ensures that wildlife services are delivered efficiently, ethically, and with a strong commitment to environmental stewardship.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field inspections to identify wildlife presence, damage, and potential hazards in residential, commercial, and natural areas.
  • Implement wildlife control techniques such as exclusion, habitat modification, and live trapping to resolve conflicts safely and humanely.
  • Maintain detailed records of wildlife activity, control measures applied, and outcomes to support regulatory compliance and program evaluation.
  • Educate the public and stakeholders on wildlife behavior, prevention strategies, and safety protocols to foster community awareness and cooperation.
  • Collaborate with biologists, environmental specialists, and law enforcement to ensure adherence to wildlife protection laws and best practices.
