What We Do
Assembles title packages, searches for tax documentation, or performs other research related to escrow and title closings. Work is done in an office, title plant, or remotely, traveling to courthouses, municipalities, and other government entities to perform searches. Assignments are varied and complex, requiring breadth and depth of experience. May act as a subject matter expert, performing all work the unit supports and searching multiple file/product types. Acts as a resource to less experienced team members and has broad geographic knowledge of state practices and requirements.
Responsibilities
- Performs a wide range of title research requiring considerable judgment, independent analysis, and detailed knowledge.
- Documents all research.
- Conducts title research to compile search packages covering a wide range of complexity.
- Investigates and interprets tax records to determine tax liability.
Job Complexities
- Handles work similar to that performed by intermediate-level staff but manages more complex, less routine, or escalated transactions based on experience and competency.
- No formal supervisory responsibility but may serve as a resource to less experienced team members.
- Works independently for most aspects of the job, exercising judgment within defined policies and procedures over a broad area.
- Resolves escalated issues from team members; may escalate issues to more experienced team members or manager.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of related experience.
Skills
- Internet savvy.
- Strong MS skill set.
- Strong investigative, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of company terminology, search department procedures, and tools.
- Able to navigate company operating systems.
Pay
$23.37 - $31.15 hourly.
